Paymentology provides card issuing and processing technology for banks and fintechs. Home of Performance developed an organic search programme that made its expertise easier to discover across industry topics, regional research and AI-assisted search. The strategy connected educational content with service and commercial pages, helping prospective buyers move from understanding a subject to exploring relevant solutions.
What Our Partners Have to Say About Us
“Our buyers need clear, credible information about complex payment topics. Home of Performance helped organise our expertise around those questions and connect it with the services we provide. We gained broader search visibility, stronger discovery beyond our brand name and a clearer way to measure emerging sources of traffic.”
The Paymentology Team
B2B payment technology involves technical subject matter and considered buying decisions. Paymentology needed to reach people researching card issuing and processing before they searched for a provider by name. Fragmented content paths and evolving AI-assisted discovery added complexity. The key objectives were to:
Expand Non-Brand Discovery: Build visibility for relevant industry questions and solution categories beyond branded searches.
Increase Organic Engagement: Grow users, sessions and clicks by addressing meaningful information needs.
Connect Expertise With Solutions: Create clearer routes from educational articles to service and commercial content.
Strengthen Emerging Search Visibility: Make content easier to interpret and track referrals from AI assistants alongside established organic channels.
We organised the programme around useful answers, clearer content relationships and consistent measurement. Technical improvements supported a content strategy developed with subject-matter input. The key initiatives included:
Connected Topic and Service Content: Educational articles linked to a nine-page framework of pillar, service and commercial content. Topics included card issuing, payment processing, BIN sponsoring, tokenisation and card programme management, with descriptive internal links supporting the next stage of research.
Expert-Led, Answer-Focused Writing: Product and compliance specialists helped maintain accuracy. Clear opening answers, definitions, comparisons and relevant FAQs made complex topics easier to understand. Structured data and consistent descriptions of the organisation and its services supported machine interpretation.
Technical and Regional Relevance: We addressed duplicate root and /en content paths through canonical and internal-linking improvements. Regional articles connected the content programme with relevant developments and events in markets including Kenya, the Philippines and wider APAC.
Measurement Beyond a Single Traffic Total: Monthly reviews tracked targets against actual results, separated brand and non-brand visibility, and assessed individual content groups. A dedicated analytics channel monitored visits referred by tools including ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity.
During January–July 2026, Paymentology recorded growth in organic traffic, search visibility and tracked AI-assistant referrals compared with the same period a year earlier. The results showed wider discovery of its subject expertise and stronger performance across the connected content framework. The key highlights were:
79.7% More Organic Users: Organic user volume increased, while sessions grew by 62.7%, expanding the audience reaching Paymentology through search.
118.9% Growth in Organic Clicks: Search clicks more than doubled, alongside a 160% increase in impressions.
267% Growth in Top-Five Keywords: Keywords ranking in positions one to five increased from 15 to 55. Non-branded ranking keywords grew from 150 to 421, a 181% increase.
231.8% More AI-Assistant Sessions: Tracked sessions from AI assistants increased from 393 to 1,304, establishing a more visible source of referral traffic.
835% Growth in the Tracked Page Group’s Clicks: The nine-page content group increased from 60 to 561 clicks. Eight of these pages had started from a zero-click baseline, an important context for the percentage growth. Comparisons use January–July 2026 versus January–July 2025, as reported in the appendix. Search and referral metrics describe discovery; they do not establish changes in leads, sales or revenue.
