The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Paid Media Lead to join our growing team in our Sri Lanka office. This is a critical L4 position where you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing cutting-edge paid media strategies for 3-5 of our key accounts operating in the Middle East. Crucially, you will also be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing a talented team of 4-5 Paid Media Specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Development (Approx. 50%):

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of 4-5 Paid Media Specialists, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs for your team.
  • Oversee the team’s campaign execution, ensuring adherence to best practices, timelines, and budget requirements.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment within the paid media team and across departments.
  • Streamline workflows and processes to enhance team efficiency and campaign effectiveness.
  • Act as a point of escalation for your team, providing expert guidance and problem-solving support.

Key Account Management & Strategy (Approx. 50%):

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive paid media strategies across various platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Twitter Ads, Snapchat, TikTok) for 3-5 key client accounts in the Middle East.
  • Deeply understand client business objectives, target audiences, and market nuances in the Middle East to deliver tailored and effective campaigns.
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research, audience segmentation, and competitive analysis.
  • Manage significant advertising budgets effectively, ensuring optimal ROI and ROAS for clients.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance, providing actionable insights and strategic recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Implement A/B testing and other optimization techniques to continuously improve campaign performance.
  • Explore and integrate AI tools and techniques to enhance campaign performance, audience targeting, bid management, and creative insights.
  • Stay at the forefront of paid media trends, platform updates, emerging technologies, and AI applications in digital advertising relevant to the Middle Eastern market.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (Account Management, SEO, Content, Creative) to ensure integrated and successful client outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key clients, acting as a senior point of contact for paid media activities.

Qualifications & Experience Needed:

  • Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience in paid media/performance marketing, with significant experience gained within a digital agency environment being essential.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and executing complex paid media strategies that drive measurable results (leads, sales, ROI).
  • Demonstrable experience in leading, mentoring, and developing a team of paid media specialists.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on expertise with major advertising platforms, including Google Ads (Search, Display, Video, Shopping), Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, Twitter Ads, and ideally experience with regional platforms like Snapchat and TikTok.
  • Strong understanding of the Middle Eastern digital landscape, consumer behavior, and cultural nuances.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions (Proficiency1 with Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, and other analytics/reporting tools).
  • Proven technical proficiency with Google Tag Manager (GTM) for tracking implementation and management.
  • Experience with ad scripting (e.g., Google Ads Scripts) for automation and optimization is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding and experience on Mobile Measurement Partners (MMPs) and app campaign management.
  • Demonstrated interest and preferably experience in utilizing AI tools and applications within paid media campaigns for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Solid experience in budget management and forecasting for multiple clients.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategies and results clearly to clients and team members.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
  • Strong understanding of the Middle Eastern digital landscape, consumer behavior, and cultural nuances with experience of managing global brands would be considered as a bonus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Blueprint) are highly desirable.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic agency environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Fluency in English is required.
